– Castin’ Reliefs 1st Annual Catfish Tournament & Family Fun Day
When: Saturday, June 12th 2021

Where: The tournament was held on the Illinois River and then we had a Family Fun Day right up the street at the Spring Bay Legion, Spring Bay, IL

What we did: Our fishing tournament was held in the morning followed by live music, a bags tournament, food truck, silent auctions, t-shirts & hats for sale, games, face painting, balloon artist, a “Castin’ Range” & more.

-Catfish Tournament – 22 fishing teams

-Bags Tournament – 16 bags teams
-Our event and was featured on News 25 @ 6pm on 6/12/21
What we raised: $4000 – $5000

Donations that year:

$800 to a local cancer patient who was a single mother – gift cards for food, gas and other comfort items
$2,000 for 46 gift bags for everyone receiving treatment at the cancer care center on December 22, 2021
$400 to $600 to other various cancer patients

– Castin’s Relief 2nd Annual Catfish Tournament & Fundraising Day
When: Saturday, June 4th 2022

Where: The tournament was held on the Illinois River and then we had a block party held downtown Pekin, IL.

What we did: Our fishing tournament was held in the morning followed by a fundraising day held in Pekin, IL. With permission from the city we shut the streets down and opened them up for Castin’ Relief’s first Car show. We had around 100 unique cars join us and it was so cool. We also had live music, 20 vendors, a food truck, silent auction, our own “Castin’ Range”.

-Catfish Tournament – 23 fishing teams
-Named CI Proud Hometown Heros Award Raised 4 – 5k
What we raised: $5000 – $6000

Donations that year:

$800 to a local cancer patient who had brain cancer– gift cards and other comfort items
$3,000 gift basket to a cancer patient – $2000 cash to use for their wish, $500 grocery card, $300 gas cards, comfortable clothing, drink containers to help with water intake, protein drinks, healthy food & snacks along with a few other miscellaneous items.

– Castin’s Relief 3rd Annual Catfish Tournament
When: Saturday, July 8th 2023
Where: The tournament was held on the Illinois river and then we had activities at the Castin’ Relief tent after.

What we did: Our fishing tournament was held in the morning followed the weigh in, lunch, awards and other activities for the fisherman and their families – live auction of a Mad Katz rod; various games with prizes; drawing with prizes, photo wall
-Added to the Donor Wall at the IL Cancer Care Center
What we raised: $2,000

Donations that year:

$1,200 to a cancer patient whose family and friends have fished all three years of our tournaments. $1000 check + $200 in various items
$150 to cancer patient – various water drink containers to help him increase his water intake, he was having trouble drinking
saving remaining monies for future

-Castin’s Relief 4th Annual Catfish Tournament
When: Saturday, September 28th 2024
Where: The tournament was held on the Illinois river and then we held the activities at Cutright Park in Chillicothe after.

What we did: Our fishing tournament was held in the morning followed the weigh in, lunch, awards and other activities for the fisherman and their families – live auction of fishing rods and other items; various games with prizes; drawing with prizes, photo wall
